SNIP Terms of Use
Effective Date: Oct 3, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to SNIP, a platform that empowers musicians and creators to collaborate, share, and receive feedback on their work. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SNIP platform and related services (the “Service”). By using SNIP, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and User Conduct
The Service is available to individuals aged sixteen (16) and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You may only upload content that you own or have legal rights to use, and you may not share or distribute the content or conversations of others outside of the platform. You must not harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users; attempt to scrape or misuse platform data; circumvent payment systems; or otherwise use the Service in violation of law or these Terms. Any such conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and possible legal action.
3. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
All content you upload remains your intellectual property. However, by uploading content you grant SNIP a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and display your content solely for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Service. This includes making your content available for human and AI-driven feedback, technical processing, backups, and necessary integrations with service providers. SNIP does not claim ownership of your content and will not use it commercially outside the platform without your written consent. All content and feedback shared within the platform are considered confidential, and users may not reproduce, distribute, or publish them without the explicit permission of the original uploader.
4. Feedback and AI Services
Feedback on SNIP may be provided by peers, by professional mentors, or by automated AI features. AI-generated feedback is designed to assist creativity but may not always reflect artistic intent or technical nuance, and SNIP does not guarantee its accuracy or usefulness. By using the Service, you agree that your content may be analyzed and processed to train and improve SNIP’s proprietary AI systems. Your content will be handled securely and will not be sold or licensed to third parties.
5. Payments and Refunds
Payments for professional feedback and other paid features are processed through PayPal. At present, services are offered on a one-time payment basis, though subscription models may be introduced in the future. All fees are non-refundable, except in cases where SNIP, at its discretion, approves a refund following a complaint submitted to CustomerServiceSnip@gmail.com. Users are responsible for ensuring that their payment information is valid and accurate.
6. Membership and Services
SNIP provides both a free tier, which allows access to peer feedback, and paid options offering professional feedback and additional features. SNIP reserves the right to modify or discontinue services, features, or membership tiers at any time without liability.
7. Mentors and Independent Contractors
Mentors and professionals who provide feedback through SNIP are independent contractors and not employees, partners, or agents of SNIP. They operate autonomously and are solely responsible for determining their own working hours, methods, and style of feedback, within the general guidelines provided by the platform. Mentors are not entitled to any employment benefits or protections, including but not limited to wages, insurance, paid leave, or severance.
SNIP acts solely as a facilitator that connects mentors with musicians and creators. It does not control, direct, or supervise the manner or quality of feedback provided, nor does it guarantee any specific results or outcomes. All creative opinions and advice shared by mentors reflect their individual expertise and judgment and do not represent SNIP’s official views or guarantees.
Mentors are fully responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including any tax, income-reporting, or business registration obligations in their jurisdiction. SNIP processes payments to mentors through the platform and deducts a commission as disclosed at the time of transaction but does not withhold or remit taxes on their behalf.
Mentors may not present themselves as employees or representatives of SNIP, nor may they make commitments, guarantees, or representations on behalf of the company. SNIP reserves the right to suspend or remove mentors who fail to maintain professional standards, violate platform policies, or act in a manner inconsistent with the Service’s community guidelines.
SNIP may display mentor names, public profiles, and professional credentials within the platform or related marketing materials for discovery and promotional purposes, unless the mentor requests otherwise in writing.
8. Copyright and Takedown Policy
SNIP respects intellectual property rights. Users must not upload or share content that infringes the rights of others. If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without authorization, you may submit a takedown request to CustomerServiceSnip@gmail.com including identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material and its location on the platform, your contact details, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. SNIP may remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers’ accounts.
9. Data Retention
SNIP reserves the right to remove or delete uploaded files after a period of three (3) months without notice. Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups.
10. Moderation and Enforcement
SNIP may monitor platform activity to ensure compliance with these Terms. Accounts may be suspended, restricted, or terminated at SNIP’s discretion in the event of violations. Enforcement actions may include legal remedies. Users may report violations through designated reporting channels.
11. Platform IP
All software, design, trademarks, branding, and AI systems are the exclusive property of SNIP. Users may not use SNIP branding, interface elements, or underlying technologies without written permission.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. SNIP does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of AI feedback, or outcomes of feedback provided. Creative feedback is inherently subjective, and you are solely responsible for your reliance on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SNIP’s liability is capped at the greater of the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or three hundred U.S. dollars (USD $300). SNIP shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, or data.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court in Israel, unless otherwise required by applicable law. You waive any right to participate in a class action or collective proceeding.
