SNIP

From idea to semi-finalist in under a year: the SNIP story

What this is

Everyone building or creating something eventually needs expert feedback. A musician with a track. A designer with a concept. A founder with a pitch. But expert feedback has always been gated behind connections, favors, or expensive professional time. SNIP's thesis is simple: expert feedback should be available on demand, to anyone, from the experts they actually admire. We are starting with music. Founded in late 2025, accepted to the Music Tech Innovation Lab, and selected as a semi-finalist in EY The Pitch Journey in Tel Aviv.

The problem: stuck and frustrated

Music creators almost always reach a point in the creative process where they get stuck. They feel they have done the best they can, but do not know how to move forward. They do not know if what they have is good, whether it could be improved, or how to improve it. Because the creative process is deeply emotional, this uncertainty turns into frustration that affects every aspect of their work and life. If they could receive input from an expert, they could probably overcome it. But those experts are either inaccessible or too expensive.

The core of the problem is judgment and taste. AI tools can generate music, analyze frequencies, and suggest edits. What they cannot do is tell you whether what you made is genuinely good, why it is or is not ready, and what specifically to fix. That capability lives inside practitioners who have spent careers developing it. It has always existed. It has never been accessible to most creators. SNIP is built to change that.

The market and why now

The largest and fastest-growing segment of the music creator market is non-professionals. It took decades of innovation to lower barriers to creation, and AI is now pulling millions more into the market. Millions more will face the same problem: stuck and frustrated.

The music creator market grew from 55 million in 2020 to 149 million in 2025, growing at 17 to 25 percent per year (MiDiA Research, "The future of the music creator economy," Mark Mulligan 2026; MiDiA Research, "State of the Music Creator Economy," 2023 edition). AI makes it easier to create, pulling millions more into the market. At 25 percent annual growth, the market could reach half a billion music creators in just a few years. Millions will face the same question: is what I created any good? The demand is already here and accelerating.

The solution

SNIP is a technology platform that gives non-professional music creators easy access to the industry experts they look up to for expert feedback. Submitting music is simple. Creators choose from a roster of industry experts across genres, musical expertise, and locations. Feedback is delivered fast through an async model. Creators get the reassurance that is hard to get in the non-professional world.

What makes SNIP different from every alternative is where it sits in the market. Every existing option forces a trade-off: expert-level feedback requires connections or money; accessible platforms lack expertise. SNIP is the only platform that is both expert-quality and open to everyone. Label teams, personal managers, and mentoring are inaccessible to most creators. Automated tools and community platforms are accessible but cannot replace calibrated professional judgment. SoundBetter, Jammcard, SubmitHub, Grumpy Music, and Slapback all sit somewhere in between — but none of them occupy the top-right corner. SNIP does.

In practice, this means: a huge selection of music experts across genres and from around the world; experts that creators actually look up to; every session meeting the highest standards and delivering clear, actionable guidance; and every session performed in a timely, affordable manner.

A few months in

Volume of signups. Paying clients. Dozens of experts. Rave reviews. Multiple sessions. All of this in the first months after launch.

The outcomes creators report are not engagement metrics. They are career events:

"I submitted my track to SNIP. The feedback helped me finish it properly. I got signed to Cafe De Anatolia, now featured on 26 playlists."

Amiram — Track: "Asis"

"Got feedback through SNIP. My first track got signed."

Tommy — 13 years old at the time

These are what happens when a creator gets the right feedback at the right moment, from someone who knows what release-ready actually sounds like.

Accepted to the Music Tech Innovation Lab

In early 2026, SNIP was accepted to the Music Tech Innovation Lab (musictech.co.il), a first-of-its-kind 16-week accelerator for music tech startups. The program integrates expertise across all areas of the music technology industry and provides selected companies with mentorship, investor access, and structured go-to-market support.

The program's business partners include EY, IBM, Microsoft Startups, Leumi Tech, Universal Music Israel, and Waves.

EY The Pitch Journey 2026 — semi-finalist in Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv is one of the fastest-growing tech and startup hubs in the world, with a startup ecosystem that punches well above its size globally. EY The Pitch Journey is one of the most competitive startup competitions running in that ecosystem, backed by EY, Latham and Watkins, Meitar Law Offices, Phoenix ESOP, and Barry Katz.

SNIP was selected as a semi-finalist, one of roughly 20 companies chosen out of hundreds of submissions to present on stage. At the event, the pitch made the case for why the timing is right: AI has moved the bottleneck in music creation from making to evaluating, the creator market is growing at 25 percent per year, and no platform has yet claimed the expert-plus-accessible position that SNIP occupies.

The team

Eyal Zombek is the founder and CEO. He comes from the tech industry, where he served as VP Marketing at SysAid, and brings experience in building and scaling technology products.

Nadav Ravid leads music strategy and content. He is a former director at GLGLZ, one of Israel's most recognized music radio stations, and holds equity in the company. Roni Braun serves as strategic advisor, bringing decades of experience as the former CEO of Helicon Music, one of Israel's most established music companies.

Where SNIP is going

AI will keep improving at creating. What it does not change is this: creators want the judgment of specific experts they admire. Not generic feedback, not an algorithm's assessment — the perspective of a person whose taste they trust and whose career they look up to. That desire is durable. What is changing fast is the format, timing, and economics of how that expertise gets delivered. It used to require connections, geography, and money. It is becoming async, on-demand, and accessible. SNIP is building the infrastructure to own that transition — in its current human-to-human form, and across whatever forms expert judgment takes as the field evolves.

The future of work is moving toward distributed expertise — professionals sharing specialized knowledge across multiple engagements, on their own schedule, without the overhead of traditional employment. AI accelerates this shift by handling more of the repeatable work, which makes human judgment, taste, and the opinion of a specific expert more valuable, not less. SNIP is infrastructure for that model.

SNIP's goal is to be synonymous with expert feedback: fast, sharp, and constructive. Music is the first vertical because it has the clearest feedback loop and the most emotionally charged creator experience. But the model extends to every creative discipline where a creator needs professional judgment before they release. Video. Design. Screenwriting. Content creation. The question is always the same: is what I made good enough?

The data moat compounds with every session. Every piece of feedback adds to a growing body of codified professional knowledge — evaluation frameworks, release-readiness criteria, genre-specific pattern libraries that nobody else is systematically building. The long-term asset is SNIP becoming the place where expert judgment and the creator economy meet at scale. The traction in year one is proof the problem is real and the model works.

The feedback that used to require connections.

Real music industry professionals. Honest evaluation. Specific guidance on what is holding your track back.
